1. Account Information — When you join the MatheCord Discord server or subscribe to a plan, we may have access to your Discord username, Discord user ID, and email address associated with your subscription.
2. Subscription and Payment Data — Subscription payments are processed through Whop. MatheCord does not directly collect or store your credit card numbers or banking details. Payment data is handled by Whop in accordance with their own privacy policy.
3. Communication Data — Messages, reviews, and content you post within the MatheCord Discord server or through our tutor-student ticket channel may be collected and stored by Discord in accordance with their terms of service.
4. Tutoring Session Data — If you use Lessonspace for tutoring sessions, session recordings and activity data may be collected by Lessonspace for quality and safety purposes.
5. Newsletter Information — If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide.
6. Educational Activity Data — If you use LiveWorksheets through MatheCord, your worksheet activity and scores may be accessible to MatheCord for educational support purposes.

How We Use Your Information

MatheCord uses the information collected for the following purposes:

• Community Management — To manage the MatheCord Discord server, verify subscriptions, assign roles, and maintain community standards.

We take the security of your information seriously. MatheCord implements reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect user data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Data Retention

MatheCord retains user information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law. When a user cancels their subscription or leaves the MatheCord Discord server, we will make reasonable efforts to remove or anonymize their data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required for legal or administrative purposes.

Children’s Privacy

MatheCord is open to users of all ages seeking math support. However, since MatheTutors are independent educators and are not vetted by MatheCord, it is advised that anyone under 18 years of age be supervised by a parent or guardian while using the MatheCord server and during virtual tutoring sessions.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

Cookies & Tracking
